How Tracecast works with product analytics platforms

Product analytics platforms are the lifeblood of any product led company. However, significant investment is still needed to operationalize a product led sales (PLS) strategy. Today, teams rely on complex data pipelines to present product usage data to sales. And even when presented properly, sales teams need training on what the data is and why it matters. This leads to inefficient PLS motions and missed revenue opportunities.

To solve this problem, Tracecast connects directly with the leading product analytics tools (PostHog, Mixpanel, and Amplitude) and adds an AI action layer on top of your data. This enables teams to operationalize PLS motions in a fraction of the time, while unlocking AI-powered insights, natural language search, and recommended actions. This blog post will explain how Tracecast connects with product analytics tools, and how its AI platform enables sales to drive more pipeline faster.

Product analytics cohorts

Tracecast connects with product analytics tools via cohorts. Cohorts are a powerful way to group users by shared characteristics, and are offered by all leading product analytics platforms. They can be as generic as “all users with a known email address” or as specific as “users on the starter plan who invited a user”. Cohorts give you full control over the data you send to Tracecast and can be edited any time within the UI of your product analytics platform. To learn more, visit the documentation from PostHog, Mixpanel, and Amplitude on cohorts.

Once a cohort has been created in your product analytics platform, it can be added as a data source within Tracecast. Cohorts will sync at a regular time intervals that you can control.

Analytics platforms track significant amounts of data, much of which might be irrelevant for sales outreach. As a result, Tracecast gives you granular controls over the data synced to the platform. When configuring a cohort as a data source, you can select the specific events and user properties that are sent to Tracecast.

Drive pipeline with an AI action layer

Tracecast has an AI-first data model, which means that sales reps can use natural language to understand and take action on product usage data. Tracecast AI automatically generates natural language summaries of all product usage data, categorizes that data into personas, and generates recommended actions for reps to take in the platform.

Once you connect a sales engagement platform like Outreach or Salesloft, sales reps can add leads to a relevant sequence simply by sending a message to Tracecast AI.
